Keys to 21 apartments in Stepa Stepanovic awarded



At the site of the former barracks "Duke Steppe Stepanoviц" in Belgrade today, keyс to 21 apartments were awarded to members of the defense system.

Allocation was also attended by Chief of the Military Construction center "Belgrade" Lt. Col. Davorko Palikuca and director of the Building Directorate of Serbia Nebojsa Surlan.

Lt. Col. Palikuca handed the keys to new flat owners, and wished them all the best in the hope that they will be satisfied with the new housing, wishing them to enjoy better living conditions with their families.

Retired sergeant first class Petar Ljubicic has been waiting for the apartment for 21 years. He served in Sibenik, Drvar on Vis and now in Belgrade. In his new home he will live with his wife, two sons, daughter-in-law and grandson.

- I have not slept in the last few weeks and I can not describe to you how it feels to get a flat after so many years. I am extremely satisfied with building, overlooking the entire apartment. I want us to stay here as long as we can, as Ljubicic said.

The apartments, which belongs to the Ministry of Defence will be completed this spring. Today the members of the defense system entered the buidlings 4A, B, C, D, E, F, 6L and 6K.
