Cooperation of the US-Serbia joint committee
State Secretary at the Ministry of Defence Zoran Djordjevic and Assistant Minister for Material Resources Jasminka Todorov met today with the U.S. delegation headed by Professor Dr. Thomas Young.Besides Professor Dr. Thomas Young of the Center for Civil-Military Relations, Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, Colonel Paul Broceni, U.S. DA in Belgrade and Lt. Sean Long, head of the Office of Defense Cooperation at the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade were also in the delegation.
During the talks both sides pointed out strong commitment of the Ministry of Defense to continue the cooperation and active involvement of Serbia in the US-Serbia Joint Commission on issues of defense reform, during the 2013, all with the aim to further improve the process of reform of the defense system of the Republic of Serbia and reach the needed level of capacity of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces.
