Visit of the students of the GS College to MoD
As part of the regular education of the 56th Class of General Training School of National Defense a visit of the students of the College for General Staff Training to organizational units of the Ministry of Defence was organized. On the first day of the visit, the Department of Defense for Policy, Department and Human Resources Department of the Ministry of Defence were presented.In the opening address, Assistant Minister for Defence Miroslav Jovanovic stressed the importance of Genral Staff Training as they are trained to the highest and most responsible duties in the defense of the Republic of Serbia.
He spoke about the place and role of the Department of Defense for Policy in the defense of the Republic of Serbia. The participants of the College for General Staff were presented the organization, purpose, tasks, and results of the Sector recorded in 2012. The future work was analyzed.
A deeper look into the competence and work of small organizational units that make up the Department of Defense Policy to the students were presented by the Chief of the Strategic Planning Department (Maj.Gen. Others. Mitar Kovac) Department for Organization (Major General Branko Andric), Department of the International Military Cooperation (Brigadier General Ljubomir Nikolic) and the Institute for Strategic Studies (Assistant Professor Jovank Saranovic).
