Minister Vucic talked with German journalists

First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Aleksandar Vucic on the second day of his visit to Germany, met with the representatives of Germany's largest publishing house Axel Springer Verlag in Berlin. Vucic talked with the reporters of the Bild, Die Welt, Bild am Sonntag and Welt am Sonntag papers about his impressions of the visit, and the messages of the German government regarding their support to Serbia’s process of joining the EU, and the possibility of early elections.

"It is a difficult question for me. There is some pressure from within the party to have new elections, but this means that the responsibility on the state will be even bigger, "Vucic said.

When asked whether Serbia has requested the date, Vucic said: "We want Germany to see Serbia as a reliable partner. If we get a date, it will be great news for Serbia, but we will not force anyone to give us something that we did not deserve. But, I think that Serbia’s work has demonstrated that it deserves to get a date”

Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic is currently talking with Christoph Heusgen, Advisor to the German Chancellor for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy.
