Doctors at the University of Defence promoted
On occasion of the Day of the University of Defence, 24 February, 12 doctors of science were promoted at the Military Academy today. The Chancellor of the University Prof. Lieutenant General. Dr. Miodrag Jevtic presented the PhD with degrees and diplomas.
General Jevtic said that the investment of time in learning was the best investment today, and the knowledge and education are the most important values of the 21st century.Research work represents scientific contribution, and the results of your work will certainly contribute to further improvement of the system, our higher education institutions, and of course the University of Defence. I want you to remember this day, as it remains inscribed in the history of the University of Defence as the first ceremony organized in this way, which will hopefully become a tradition, to which we will bring innovations in the course of time, said the Rector congratulating the promoted PhDs.
Vice-rector for Research of the Defense University professor Mirjana Zivotic-Vanovic introduced new PhDs and stressed that in the past year the scientific research potential of the university had greatly increased.
Doctoral degrees have been presented to Colonel Milic Veljovic, Lieutenant Colonels Slavisa Vlacic, Bojan Jovicic, Milorad Milivojevic and Boban Trajkovic, as well as military emplpoyees Zorica Brdareski, Milan Milosevic, Slobodan Mandic, Sanja Dugonjic, Stevan Jovicic, Biljana Pavlovic-Draskovic and Nebojsa Dragovic.
