Assistant Minister Jovanovic received the Russian delegation
Assistant Defense Minister Miroslav Jovanovic received the Russian DA Colonel Valery Volkov and the delegation of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, headed by Colonel Evgeny Dmitrievich, Deputy Chief of the Supreme Directorate for International Military Cooperation. The aim of the visit was the harmonization of the Agreement of the Government of the Republic of Serbia and the Government of the Russian Federation on military cooperation.Assistant Minister Jovanovic stressed the importance of this harmonization, while at the same time confirming the commitment of the Serbian side that the agreement, which is to significantly improve the cooperation between the two ministries, is ready for signing by two defense ministers during the upcoming visit of the Russian minister of defence Sergei Shoygu to the Republic of Serbia in March this year.
Colonel Volkov confirmed that the signing of this agreement would improve the level of cooperation with Serbia, while also commending the Serbian side for its professionalism shown during the harmonization of the agreement.
