Military helps in eliminating the consequences of snowdrifts



First Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic ordered the immediate involvement of the Serbian Armed Forces units, personnel and machinery, with the aim of helping local people in eliminating the consequences of natural disasters caused by the snowfall.

From early morning, the Serbian Armed Forces units have been engaged in all snowed areas in Vojvodina and they are participating in clearing roads and traffic lines helping the population that is stuck in snow drifts. Apart from the personnel from the First Army Brigade, armoured recovery vehicles have also been employed.

All units of the Serbian Armed Forces will be available in the entire territory of the Republic of Serbia to help local people.
