Minister Vucic visits Canada
First Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Aleksandar Vucic on the first day of his visit to Canada, on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Serbia, signed an agreement on strategic and economic cooperation with the President of the Canadian Business Corporations Mark Wittingham.
Serbia and Canada agreed to co-operate in the fields of infrastructure, energy, industry and agricultural-food sector.The activities under this Agreement shall be implemented through contracts, programs or projects, which will prepare the relevant organizations, institutions, and companies of the two countries.
The Canadian Chamber of corporation agrees that, if so requested, shall provide adequate assistance to the Government of the Republic of Serbia in identifying possible funding sources in Canada to support the implementation of projects in various fields.Minister Vucic also met with the representatives of major Canadian companies in energy and mining sectors.
"I promised to provide a secure investment environment in Serbia, in order to attract as many Canadian investors as possible and create many job opportunities for the citizens of Serbia," said Minister Vucic.
