Novi Sad Medical Center marked its day



By a ceremony in Novi Sad Military Club, Novi Sad Medical Center marked its day - 11 November and 226th anniversary of since the centre was established and started operating.

Addressing the members of the institution and numerous guests, Col. Bratoljub Brkljaca, manager of the Novi Sad Military Medical Center, said that employees were proud of nearly two and a half centuries of military medical centre’s existence, as well as of the fact that the military hospital has to date managed with its human resources and capacities to fulfill its human mission.


Annually this hospital performs about 1500 surgeries, 100 000 examinations while providing various medical services up to 400 000 a year, and about 3000 patients undergo hospital treatment, said Col. Brkljaca.

The marking of the Day of Novi Sad military medical centre, among others, was attended by Colonel prof. Dr. Zoran Popovic, chief of the military health care in MOD, Sinisa Sevic, Mayor of Novi Sad, Petar Novakovic, City Council member in charge of Health, including representatives of SAF, provinces and cities, and military health facilities in Belgrade and Nis.

During the ceremony, Colonel Brkljaca presented prizes and certificates to the most outstanding emloyees.
