Opening of the exhibition to mark one hundred years since the Battle of Kumanovo



Under the auspices of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, in cooperation with the Belgrade Military Museum and Foundation of the National Library of Serbia, marking one hundred years since the Battle of Kumanovo, Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia, Ivica Dacic, will officially open representative exhibition "100 years of the Battle of Kumanovo - Serbia in the Balkan Wars, 1912-1913 in the Gallery of the Military Museum at Kalemegdan in Belgrade, on 24 October 2012 at 13:00 am.

The authors of the exhibition are curator Lieutenant Dejan Milivojevic, curator Vuk Obradovic and curator Natasa Tomic.

The most important battle of the First Balkan War took place in Kumanovo valley on 23rd and 24th October 1912. The Serbian Armed Forces defeated the then superior Turkish troops, and after more than five centuries brought freedom to the old medieval Serbian areas.
