River 2012 Joint Exercise



First Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic and the Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Ljubisa Dikovic are to attend the River 2012 Joint Exercise near Titel, on Thursday, 25th October 2012 at 10:40.

River 2012 Joint Exercise is being conducted from 22 to 25 October, by the Serbian Armed Forces, the Sector for Emergency Situations of the Ministry of the Interior, and the Serbian Red Cross Mountain Rescue Service at 48 locations throughout Serbia.

The overall objective of the exercise is teaching and training commands and units for planning operations for rendering support to civilian authorities in fighting unarmed security threats, commanding forces in the operation, coordination with the forces of the Sector for Emergency Situations, the Serbian Red Cross Mountain Rescue and the preparation and execution of joint operations from the domain of the third mission of the Serbian Armed Forces, as well as informing the public about the achieved level of training.

For media representatives, there is organized transport from Belgrade and Novi Sad.
