Cooperation of the Republic of Serbia with OPCW

The delegation of the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), headed by Deputy Director-General Grace Asirwatham, was received by the Assistant Minister for Defence Policy Miroslav Jovanovic. On that occasion, he said that the visit of the delegation confirms the continuation of the successful cooperation of Serbia with the OPCW in the field of implementation of the Convention on the Prohibition of the Development, Production, Stockpiling and Use of Chemical Weapons and on their Destruction.

Cooperation with the OPCW significantly contributes to the promotion of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces at the international level, especially for the capacities and the activities of CBRN PTC as a regional center for training personnel in the field of protection from weapons of mass destruction, as well as of MMA, MTI and other capacities in this area in the Republic of Serbia.
