Israeli professors deliver lectures at the Military Academy
Aso Professor van Creveld pointed out, according to the ranking of various countries in the UN Human Development Index, the Balkans and the Middle East are crisis areas. In both cases, the causes of this state of affairs may be linked to centuries of Ottoman rule, the disintegration of the Ottoman Empire and the establishment of new boundaries that did not take into account the national, political, economic, social and cultural factors. In that chaos the State of Israel became prominent, and the professor talked about the roots of its success and suggested that Serbia can learn something from that example, too.
Earlier today, the lecturers have participated in the conference "The Balkans and the Middle East: are they mirrors to each other" in the rectory of St. Sava Temple.
