Possibilities for improving cooperation with Indonesia



Assistant Minister for Defence Policy, Miroslav Jovanovic, received the outgoing and the newly appointed Defence Attachés of the Republic of Indonesia in Belgrade, Colonel Agoes Joesniu and Colonel Berman Sitanggang.

During the conversation, both sides expressed their interests in raising the cooperation in the field of defence to a higher level, in line with the conclusions of the recent meeting between the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of the Republic of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia, Samuel Samson.

All the modalities of the future cooperation were considered noting that the upcoming opening of the Serbian Defence Attaché’s Office in Jakarta will provide easier and faster direct communication which is the main prerequisite for the general promotion of the relations.

The Indonesian side was informed about the capacities of the defence system of the Republic of Serbia and they were openly invited to submit all the requests that are directed to further promotion of the relations.
