Expert discussion on military drivers' training



In the organization of the General Logistics Department of the Material resources Sector organized on 19 and 20 September, in "Ribnica" in Kraljevo, expert discussion on the draft regulations on the training of drivers and testing of military personnel for vehicle drivers.

Head of discussion was Colonel Zeljko Rankovic, Head of Traffic and Transportation of the General Logistics Department, while the meeting was attended by a representative of the Defence Inspectorate, representatives of the General Logistics, Directorate of Logistics, Directorate of Training and Doctrine Command, Training Command, and representatives of the Military Health Care Department.

On the basis of the Law on Traffic Safety, the working team is obligated to make rules by the end of the year.

After the expert discussion, a tour of filed training facilities was organized. The training showed it was possible for the soldiers to gain the necessary level of knowledge and skills and apply them in field.

The scope of training for drivers who will participate in multinational peacekeeping operations is growing, because it will precisely be the focus of future participation in these missions. The training lasts for several days, drivers gain theoretical and practical knowledge. Furthermore, all the elements and all the experiences of our military that have been engaged in peacekeeping missions and multinational operations are also used in training.
