Foreign DAs visit "Jug" base



In the organization of the Army of Serbia and the Directorate for International Military Cooperation Department of the Ministry of Defense, Sector for Defence Policy, foreign military representatives accredited to the Republic of Serbia visited the base "Jug" in Bujanovac. On that occasion, the commander of the 41st Infantry Battalion Lt. Col. Bozidar Pejic briefed the guests about the purpose, the capabilities and capacities of “Jug" base.

The head of the peacekeeping centre colonel Jelesije Radivojevic briefed the military representatives about the Serbian Army's participation in multinational operations and their impact on different levels.

During the visit in "Jug" military base, foreign military representatives have expressed greatest interest in the criteria of selection and sending the members of the Serbian Army to multinational operations, as well as the capacity and further development of the database.

During the visit, foreign military representatives attended the send off ceremony of the Serbian Army contingents to participate in multinational operations in the Republic of Cyprus and the Republic of Lebanon.
