Open day in the 1st brigade



This year's "Open Day" of the First Army Brigade was organized in Sremska Mitrovica barracks "Bosko Palkovljevic-Pinki."

Early in the morning, the most curious visitors, mostly students of elementary and secondary schools in Sremska Mitrovica, were warmly welcomed by their hosts, and entered through the wide-open barrack gates. At the very beginning of the members of the folk group "Sirmium art" was performed for the guests and hosts interesting art program.

For their guests, members of mechanized tank battalions, a rocket artillery battalion, signal units, and all the other units have prepared a rich and attractive program, since the launch of tactical and technical characteristics of M84 tanks, infantry fighting vehicle M80, 128-millimeter rocket launchers, weapons and special forces, and equipment in infantry fire and tools and equipment to do, to display elements of martial arts and tactical actions.

The visitors found a short ride on an infantry fighting vehicle, most exciting, and despite the crowds visitors waited patiently for the next shift.

Children and soldiers socialized until early afternoon, and during the action in the barracks, the display of equipment and weapons was seen by 2,000 visitors including Deputy Mayor Tomislav Jankovic.

For residents of Kuzmin, Bosuta, Martinac, Lazarak, Great Radinci, Mandjelos, Lezimir, the municipality of Sremska Mitrovica organized free bus transport.

At the end of the day, a friendly match between the teams of the garrison and the local government took place.
