Serbia interested in new German investments



At the end of his two-day visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, the first Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic met with the Minister for Economic Cooperation and Development Dirk Niebel.

Minister Vucic thanked his colleagues for the support provided by Germany Serbia towards the European Union and said that Germany is one of our major economic partners, and that Serbia is interested in promoting economic cooperation and new German investments.

The meeting discussed the possibilities of economic cooperation, especially in the energy sector, as well as the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding, signed in Berlin on both sides.

Nibel Minister has confirmed that Serbia is the key country for Germany in the region and expressed the readiness of the German side for further investments in the energy field in Serbia in order to improve energy efficiency as well as improving the transmission network in the region.
