Iraq wants Serbia to also take part in rebuilding
First Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic met with the Ambassador of Iraq Falah Abdulhasan Abdulsad.
During the talks it was concluded that Serbia and Iraq had a long tradition of friendship and cooperation. It was agreed that bilateral relations in all fields should be improved.Special attention was paid to the cooperation of two countries in the field of defense, both in terms of exports of military industry, and training Iraqi officers and engineers in Serbia.
Vucic said that Serbia would provide logistical support for the maintenance of "Lasta" school plane, which Iraq had purchased in the past, and that our country would participate in the reconstruction, the construction of infrastructure, hospitals and other facilities.
For the purpose of better concretization of agreed cooperation, Minister Vucic will send the invitation of Minister of Defense and Minister of Economy of Iraq to visit Serbia.
