Defense Minister Aleksandar Vucic at a ceremony marking 60 years of the journal "Military Technical Courier", stressed that "the future of our Army comes from what we know and how much we can learn," Military Technical Courier "is the best magazine and there is so much we can learn from it.

In an interview with "Odbrana" Major General Ranko Zivak, commander of the Air Force, said that the air show "Batajnica 2012" is the main event to mark the anniversary - 100 years of Serbian military aviation. – We shall celebrate it with dignity and in accordance with the traditions of aviation, together with the citizens of Serbia, our dear friends, airmen from our country and abroad, aviation enthusiasts and admirers. It is our obligation, to many generations of airmen who gave their all, and some even laid their lives, in the development of our Air Force, and to future generations of airmen - General Zivak says.

At the airport Batajnica final flight preparations of Air Force of the Army of Serbia to participate in the international air show "Batajnica 2012" have been held.

Major General Mladen Vuruna, head of the Military Academy, said the cadets and young officers need to understand that they do not perform tasks solely but also are decision makers. In other words, they are not expected just to obey order and to execute them unconditionally. They need to make a decision and to take responsibility for people in command. Military Academy prepares cadets for independent decision-making intellectually, psychologically, emotionally and physically, but also to deal with the consequences of their decisions.

Members of the mechanized battalion of the Fourth Brigade of Vranje with their organization, persistence, and resourcefulness excelled in securing the administrative line with Kosovo and control the security zone. Officers and soldiers did not forget to carry out tasks in the south of Serbia, and that their obligation to ensure peace in the area and provide assistance to all citizens.

The former Yugoslavia was one of the eleven countries that built submarines. The first group of submarines was established in the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes on 8 April 1928, when they raised the flag on two submarines which on that day entered the Bay of Boka Kotorska from England, where they were constructed. In distant combat missions in the history of the river, fleets wore battles on rivers. When the Serbian army patrol from an Austrian spy, in early 1908 , at parachute station near Obrenovac seized basket with 17 mail pigeons, one did not know that this event will lead to the formation of the first pigeon station in Nis, and then the creation of the first aviation unit in the Serbian army.
