The final flight exam for future second lieutenants
Cadets of the 133rd class of the Military Academy, Department of Aviation, had today their last flight with cadet ranks on their shoulders at the Batajnica Airport. Head of the Military Academy Major General Mladen Vuruna and Commander of the 204th Aviation Brigade, Brigadier General Predrag Bandic congratulated them on successful completion of the flight training.- Cooperation between the Military Academy and the Air Force and AD is an example how to produce good and quality officers, and this generation of young pilots is a proof of that –the Head of the Military Academy said wishing cadets to become even better in the course of their career.
Cadets have completed today the test flight using instruments, which was the most difficult part of training because flying is performed using instruments only, without contact with the ground. Their next flight will be with second lieutenant’s epaulets in units to which they are to be assigned after the promotion.
This year's youngest officer pilot class consists of six boys, among which the best cadet is Sergeant First Class Radovan Zunic.- This is the happiest day of our lives, because our dream to become pilots came true. This is by far the most beautiful year – Zunic said, not hiding his satisfaction with the achieved results.
Six cadets completed their training on "Gazelle" helicopters and now they are only to defend their theses, obtain flighter’s signs and put the first officer's stars on 8 September in front of the National Assembly.
