Meeting of Minister Vucic with Head of OSCE Mission in Serbia
First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Aleksandar Vucic met with the Head of OSCE Mission to Serbia Dimitrios Kypreos.At the beginning of the meeting, Vucic thanked for the support by the OSCE mission to the Republic of Serbia and the Ministry of Defence, emphasizing as particularly important cooperation in the capacity development programme for stockpile management of conventional ammunition in the Republic of Serbia as well as in the process of democratization of the security forces and the defence system.
OSCE Ambassador congratulated Vucic on his appointment and wished him success in the new Government underlining that this is a difficult period for Serbia and the Balkans, but that the success of this Government will be crucial for the development of the whole region. Kypreos emphasized that Europe expects a lot from the new Serbian Government.
"The OSCE Mission in Serbia, among other things, wishes to improve cooperation with the Ministry of Defence", Kypreos pointed out and welcomed the participation of the Serbian Armed Forces in peacekeeping missions, stressing that it is a sign of political will for Serbia to participate in strengthening of international security.
