Women parachuters set a new record



Eighteen female parachuters from 11 countries of the region - Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Slovenia, Macedonia, the Czech Republic, Turkey, Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary – succeeded to form the largest formation of female parachuters in the skies over Serbia and beyond. The venture was organized by the Association of Serbian women pilots, with the help and support of the Ministry of Defence and the Air Force Command under the motto "Women in skies without limits." The goal, in addition setting a new record, was the popularization of sport aviation, regional contacts and contribute to the celebration of 100 years, Serbian military aviation.

Warrant Officer Nebojsa Jandric, instructor and test parachutist parachuting from the Technical Testing Center - Center for flight testing, project coordinator and instructor is more than satisfied with how the female parachters had different flying experience, and training and were equipped with different equipment but nevertheless were very successful and in a relatively short period of time managed to consolidate themselves and made a record formation.

Among 18 women in formation there was Warrant Officer Radmila Djuric, parachuting instructor at 63 Parachute Battalion Special Brigade of the Army of Serbia, as the most experienced of all padobranki, with over 1,600 jumps

The parachuters were transported by a helicopter Mi-17 (XT-48) during practicing and the final jump where they jumped out at 4000 m. Instructor Jandric gave special thanks to the helicopter crew, Major Milos Mirkovic, Omer Mehic and Goran Gajic and Sergeant Nebojsa Drajic for their professional and personal commitment to each of 30 flights.
