Minister Vucic meets with the head of the Italian diplomacy

First Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister Aleksandar Vucic met today with Foreign Affairs Minister of Italy Giulio Tertius.

At the beginning of the meeting Vucic said that the new government's priorities were European integrations, regional and bilateral cooperation and the fight against systemic corruption. "Serbia will not stray off the European way. Our future is in the European Union. WE do not promise much, but what we promises we make we shall keep," said Minister Vucic.

Minister Terci pointed out that the official Rome continued to support Serbia in the field of European integration and said that "inter-governmental meeting will show the quality of our relationships and wish for the new government to establish closer relations." He added that special attention should be paid to increasing Italian investments in Serbia.

First Serbian Deputy Prime Minister thanked the Italian Government for their support and said he would try to ensure the adoption of the economic program that would provide security to foreign investors and simplify legal procedures.

Italian Foreign Affairs Minister is the first foreign official to come to Belgrade after the new Serbian government was formed.
