1st regular session of Defense University's Council
In the chancellor’s office of the University of Defence first regular session of the University Council was held today which was attended by nine members and the Chancellor Lt. Gen. prof. Dr Miodrag Jevtic. The session was chaired by Brigadier General of the Council prof. Bojan Zrnic, Chief of the Department for Defense Technologies, Material Resources Sector.At today's meeting seven items on the agenda were unanimously adopted- the Minutes of the constituent session of the University of Defence, motions approving the Statute of the Military Academy of Medicine and the Statute of the Military Medical Academy, strategy of quality assurance at the University, Annual Report and annual accounts University of Defence in 2011 and financial plan for 2012 and the amount of tuition fees for studies and training that take place in higher education institutions within the University in the academic year 2012/13 year.
The University Council is the body of the University with a total of 17 members, 11 of which, as representatives of the University, were elected by the higher education unit of the University: The Military Academy elects seven representatives, School of Medicine, four representatives, three members are elected by cadet parliament of the Defense University and three other members are appointed by the Government Serbia, in accordance with the law.
