Course in ordnance handling, storing, and preservation ends



In Technical Repair Institute "Kragujevac" certificates were awarded to participants who have completed a two-week international course on "Safety in handling, storage, preservation and destruction of explosive devices."

The representative of the Defense Technologies Department of Material Resources Sector of the Ministry of Defence Colonel Veselin Raicevic, on this occasion officially presented the certificates to the students for the course organized by the Ministry of Defence of Serbia and the International Fund ITF from Slovenia, and with the help of the U.S. Government.

- The course was an opportunity to combine theory and practice in the field, to familiarize participants with production and maintenance of ordnance, but also the way of monitoring the state of gunpowder in the Institute said Col. Raicevic stressing that the key message of the course was safety

Storing, use and destruction of ordnance, and this type of training aims to increasing security. Assessing the course as successful, he emphasized that security must be addressed as a common problem.

Attendees of the course, members of the Serbian Army and the armed forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Croatia, also expressed positive impressions of the two-week training, for the lessons learned, and on the department as a host.
During today, the final day, with analysis of the course was presented to the course attendees.
