SAF helps in cleaning Serbia
In Belgrade, the Serbian Army members helped to clean up the banks and river beds of the Sava and Danube Rivers in Usce, of Topciderka in Topciderski park and also helped clean Cubura park and the park around the Temple of Saint Sava.
Members of the Army contributed to "the big cleaning of Serbia" in Prokuplje and Vranje as well, where people worked on the cleaning of municipal landfills. In Bujanovac, the students helped the cleaning of schools in Nis and Krusevac as well as clearing riverbeds, and of military facilities.
In cooperation with local authorities in Sombor, Valjevo and Leskovac, Pancevo, Belgrade, Pozarevac, Zajecar and Krusevac, some 600 members of the Training Command, together with citizens, cleaned the public area, and cleaned and the areas within the barracks. To clean the protective equipment provided and plastic garbage bags.
In cooperation with the City Administration of Public Health and Environment and Public Utility Company "Komunalac" in Leskovac the members of the 3 training center cleaned the wild landfill around the Svetoilijsko cemetery. In total about 20 tons of various waste have been cleaned and transported, where in addition to personnel, trucks and SUVs were used as well.
In Belgrade, the members of the Training Command area were engaged on cleaning up in several locations. Besides Topcider barracks, along with members of the Guard Brigade, and links to citizens and City workers cleaned the green space across from the restaurant and Milosev konak restaurant.
Furthermore, Members of the development command of Timocka Brigade in cooperation with local governments in Zajecar, cleaned Vanya gap on the Crni Timok, drains and channels around the barracks "Nikola Pasic" and certain facilities in Knjazevac, Bor, and Lubnica and Karbulov.
In Krusevac, in cooperation with the City Administration and the PUC members of the garrison were engaged in cleaning the barracks and of the separate facilities at two locations in the city, and to the region Garskog stream and the polygon Ravnjak.
More than 1100 members of the Army of the Serbian Army is now involved in the "Spring Cleaning of Serbia". During the works thirteen vehicles for transportation of garbage, five boats, two tugboats, one outboard motor and two dozers were used.
Members of the Second Brigade of the Army took part in the action by engaging in Kraljevo and Raska and Novi Pazar and the arrangement near the monastery of "Sopocani".
Officers and soldiers of the Third Brigade of the garrison in Prokuplje performed extensive work on cleaning of illegal dumps in Novo Selo and Novi Bozurni, and members of the unit from Kursumlija garrison are mostly clearing the area around the barracks "Toplicki ustanak." Members of the Mixed Artillery Brigade, together with members of the City organization and the Red Cross Elementary School students "Ivo Andric" cleans the beds of Hum and Rujnicki stream.
Officers and soldiers of the Fourth Army Brigade were engaged in Vranje and Bujanovac, where he worked on arranging the environment of two elementary and one high school. The members of the 246th RCBD battalion also finished cleaning the Ravnjacki stream with local community residents of Lazarica municipality while the staff of TRZ "Cacak" were engaged on cleaning the area around "Slovas" company.
