Study tour in Italy



Attendees of the 55th Class of General Staff Training accompanied by their teachers in strategy and operational art finished a four-day trip to the Republic of Italy. The delegation was led by State Secretary in the Ministry of Defence Igor Jovicic, along with the Head of the School of the National Defense Colonel Mile Jelic, head of the GS school Colonel Marko Zelenovic and dr Stanislav Stojanovic, head of the Department of Strategy.

During these four days, the participants of the study tour, organized with the help of Royal Norwegian Embassy in Serbia, the Atlantic Council of Serbia and the Italian Atlantic Committee visited the Center for Advanced Defense Studies and the NATO Defense College, NATO Joint Force Command in Naples, Joint Operations Command of Italy and the air base Pratika di Mare.

The visit began in Rome with a visit to the Embassy of Serbia in Italy where the Ambassador Ana Hrustanovic acquainted MoD and SAF delegation with the mission of the Embassy and the development of the traditionally good relations with the host country.

During the visit, the students were acquainted with the mechanisms and modalities for the delegating tasks and decision from strategic to operational level to ensure the implementation and execution of tasks, and monitoring and control of that process.
