Seminar on managing complex projects, procurement and equipping with arms



"Managing complex projects, procurement and equipping the military armament and military equipment'' was the theme of the seminar, which was held from 21 to 25 May in the Department of Material Resources in the organization of the defense technology. The speakers were from the prestigious Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, United States, led by Dr Elizabeth Wright.

The workshop shows the complexity of managing complex projects in the procurement process and equipment with new weapons, with examples of practices in the United States and European countries.

During the workshop, the importance of an integrated project team was emphasized, which is to manage the project of armament equipping in the whole life cycle.

Workshop participants through team work and practical exercises presented the knowledge and techniques applied.

The workshop was successfully completed by 24 participants from organizational units of MoD and SAF.

This is the second of three workshops that will be implemented during 2012 in the area of armament equipping, which was realized by the representatives for the management of defense resources from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, USA.

The meeting was closed by Brigadier General prof. Bojan Zrnic, Chief of the Defense Technology Department, who also announced next workshops on negotiation and contracting in the arms procurement process in September this year.
