Exercise "Milesian crisis" ends



In the School of National Defense Interdepartmental Staff exercise "Milesian crisis" exercise has been completed and analyzed by listeners performed by the 55th class of GS training.

The exercises has been attended by representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Red Cross.

Head of the Military Academy Major General Mladen Vuruna congratulating the success of their mission, stressed that the aim of the exercises completed.

The Military Academy has fully introduced the principle that face all military educational institutions in the world today. I am proud to say that officers at all levels of education in the spirit of this principle, we are preparing for all tasks related to national defense, participation in peacekeeping operations and assist the civilian population in the unhappy circumstances, said General Vuruna emphasizing the importance of training exercises for Army officers Serbia.

Staff exercise "Milesian crisis" was done under the auspices of the United Kingdom and the Kingdom of Norway for five days. Representatives of these countries, Dr Andrew Stewart and Lieutenant Martin Langvik, congratulated the participants on successful completion of the exercise and noted that they have achieved the desired task, and this is a demonstration of some issues that may arise in a multinational peacekeeping operation.

Exercise leader Colonel Velimir Kevac said that the participants’ work and efforts contributed to the successful implementation of these practices and lessons learned that will seek to implement the curriculum of the School of National Defense.

"Milesian crisis" is an operational level exercise of planning and execution for the purpose of strengthening the understanding of multinational operations in response to the crisis. The exercise involves the deployment of a fictional EU mission to a fictional country located on the African continent.
