Laying wreaths on the occasion of ANZAC Day
On the occasion of ANZAC Day, organized by the Australian Embassy and the Department of Veterans Protection of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs, State Secretary Igor Jovicic have laid a wreath at the Commonwealth cemetery in Belgrade today, on behalf of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces, accompanied by Colonel Sladjan Ristic and Lieutenant Colonel Djordje Kalanj from the Department for Tradition, Standard and Veterans.ANZAC Day is to mark the anniversary of the first major battle of the Australian and New Zealand armed forces in Gallipoli in Turkey during the World War I.
