Protocol on cooperation betwen MMA and the municipality of Svilajnac signed



In the office of Minister of Defence today signed a Protocol on Cooperation of the Military Medical Academy and Svilajnac municipality. In the presence of Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac a Protocol on behalf of the Ministry of Defense was signed today by the MMA chief Brigadier General Marijan Novakovic while on behalf of Svilajnac Deputy Mayor Predrag Milanovic signed the protocol.

After signing the Protocol on Cooperation, Defence Minister expressed his satisfaction that in the future specialists of the MMA would provide services to patients in Svilajnac twice a month. It is one of the forms of civil-military cooperation initiated by local governments and municipalities.

- It is known that the Ministry of Defence has opened a military hospital for treatment of civilians, and this is now a unique case where we try to help the local governments where there are no hospitals, said the Minister said and pointed out that the Ministry of Defence is sensitive to the needs of the municipality in which it has recently built a bridge.

-Within civil-military cooperation, we helped the people of Serbia, wherever necessary, and we are especially pleased when we can participate in the treatment of Serbian citizens in those parts of the country where there is no health care at a certain level- said the minister said adding that our specialists visited the village in southern Serbia and helped the local population.

- This will now be a continuous operation, which I hope will begin to live in other municipalities and cities, said Minister of Defence.

Deputy Mayor of Svilajnac thanked for the privilege to the municipality.

- The future of our citizens can get the best health service and I hope that this cooperation will continue in the coming years and will be done to both parties’ pleasure-Milanovic said.
