Communique



In some newspapers, from 12 March to date, some texts speculating about the family tragedy in the village Manastirica near Petrovac na Valjevo have been published, along with photographs of a man in military uniform – who is a suspected of murder.

Although this person is wearing the uniform in the picture, in order to preempt any malicious connections made with the army, the MoD notes that a person suspected of a crime is not a member of the Army of Serbia, or has anything to do with the Army.

We consider it inappropriate that the journalistic reports publish photographs of men in uniform. Given the successful cooperation with the media so far, we kindly ask the media to omit such photographs in the future as they undermine the reputation of the Army of
