Meeting of the NATO DRG group and talks about PARP programme



The Defense Ministry held a regular meeting of the Serbian - NATO Defence Reform Group (DRG) which was Attended by representatives of 22 EU member states, NATO member states and Partnership for Peace signatories, as well as the representatives of the NATO MLO in Belgrade.The co-chairman and executive coordinator as well as working table managers of DRG participated in the meeting on behalf of MoD and SAF

Participants were informed about how far the group had progressed in achieving the set goals and what we demands from foreign countries with respect of helping us attain these goals. Both sides concluded that the work of the Group Serbia - NATO had been carried out successfully, and that the majority of foreign countries were interested in supporting the achievement of specific partnership goals, which is incorporated into the plan of bilateral military cooperation with these countries.

The Representatives of the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia met with the delegation of NATO and of the processes and activities within PARP (Planning and Review Process). The participants talked about the package of partnership goals, activities and tasks of the NATO IPAP and guidelines for cooperation.

The three-member NATO delegation headed by Frank Boland was also received the Secretary of State Dr. Tanja Miscevic.
