Workshop on cost assessment of the life span of arms and equipment



"The methodology of life cycle and cost estimates for arms and military equipment" was the theme of the seminar-workshop from 20th to 24th February was held in the Department of Material Resources MO. The key speakers were from the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, California, led by William Bill Chadwick.

The seminar presents the complexity of the cost of resources, tools and techniques necessary for developing and managing complex procurement projects funding of NGOs, and the topics covered: the degree of influence of various factors on lifetime resources, assessment methodologies and risk management costs.

Workshop participants through team work, as a final activity, apply the presented techniques and tools and seminar-workshop finished display models of their solutions and cost estimates lifetime supply of funds in the example of a complex combat system.

The workshop was successfully completed by 24 participants from organizational units of SAF and MoD, who are professionally related to the planning and implementation process of equipping the armament and military equipment. They got the certificate of the Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, prestigious educational institutions.


This is the first of three workshops that will be implemented this year in the field of process control equipment, based on agreements reached in the Joint Commission's Serbian - questions for the U.S. defense system reform.

The gathering, organized by the Department of Defense technology sector for material resources, was closed by Brigadier General prof. Bojan Zrnic, head of the Defense Technologies Department.
