Issuing certificates on participation in war
In the process of counting the beneficiary years of service which count as double, maintained by the Republic Fund for Pension and Disability Insurance, the conscripts are obliged, to submit a request for recognition and registration of the years in wartime as well as to submit a certificate of participation in war.
The legal basis for the recognition of participation in the war:
The basis for the recognition of participation in the war (only during the period from 17.08.1990 to 19.05.1992), persons who were members of the JNA and the Yugoslav army and units of territorial defense that were under the command of the JNA and the Yugoslav army is in the legal regulation valid in the specified time period. (Law on Service in the Armed Forces).
AS for the persons who were members of units on the territory of other republics of former Yugoslavia, the territory of Republic of Serbia, the MoD Centers in Local Government will reject the requests, because the Republic of Serbia is the legal successor of the State Union of Serbia and Montenegro (SCG - FRY, FRY - SFRY), which is why these recruits have no right to file a request, and since the territorial units were organized on the territory of Serbia, it can not have territorial jurisdiction over former Yugoslav republics.
A person who performed their duties in a state body or a large technical system of interest to national defense, can not be considered as a recruit, therefore pursuant to the law, as they did not carry out military and other duties a unit, but in their workplace .
