Marking the Day of Nis Military Hospital
In the Nis Military Club a solemn observance was held to mark the 22nd January – the Day of Nis Military Hospital and 134th anniversary of the existence and operation of this institution. The ceremony was attended by Army Commander Major General Milan Mojsilovic, Head of the Military Health Department of the Ministry of Defence Colonel Zoran Popovic, Nis garrison unit commanders, representatives of local government, the Serbian Ortodox Church and the military and veterans' associations and the leadership of medical institutions of the city of Nis.
Congratulating the anniversary, Colonel Zoran Popovi? pointed out that the members of these institutions achieved valuable results in the field of quality care of the military insured, education of personnel and participation in peacekeeping operations.Head of the Nis Military Hospital, Colonel Radiša Vitas emphasized that the hospital has been continuously modified in recent years and that it was always with its people and military in decisive and fateful moments, sharing the fate of suffering, epidemics, famine and death, but also the victory and overall progress.

"The scope of work of the military hospital is being improved – Colonel Radiša Vitas said – by introducing new diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, training the personnel, technological and technical equipping and infrastructural upgrades of the conditions for accomodation of patients and personnel. On the other hand, the greatest asset of the military hospital lies primarily in people, highly qualified members, proving every day and expressing at work their loyalty and commitment to the noble goals of the injured and the sick."
On the occasion of its holiday, the Military Hospital awarded gratitude awards for the excellent cooperation to the Third Army Brigade, Mixed Artillery Brigade, Directorate for Property Rights Affairs, Nis Clinical Centre, Public Utility Companies Mediana and Gorica and other working organizations and establishments.
