On occasions of statements given by Mayor of Bosilegrad Vladimir Zaharijev, that he had sought, yet received no help for clearing the snow from any institution in Serbia, the Ministry of Defense announces that the Mayor Bosilegrad or any of the officials of the municipality had not asked for any assistance from the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Serbia.

Army of Serbia have so far helped countless people of Serbia in relieving natural disasters and emergency situations and participated in numerous humanitarian actions.

So in the previous days, members of 2, 3 and 4 Army Brigade were deployed to clear snow in snow-struck areas in the municipalities of Sjenica, Vranje, Crna Trava and Nova Varos. A total of 72 members of the Army of Serbia with 11 engineering machinery have been hired to perform this task.
