Meeting of Chiefs of General Staffs of the Serbian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of Croatia

Serbian Armed Forces Chief of General Staff, Lieutenant General Ljubisa Dikovic met today with Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Croatia, Lieutenant General Drago Lovric, in Morovic. This is the first official meeting of the two generals.

Generals Dikovic and Lovric discussed the possibilities for improving cooperation between the Serbian Armed Forces and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Croatia, especially in the field of nuclear-biological-chemical defence, logistics, training and education of personnel.

Cooperation between Serbia and Croatia in the field of defence has been intensified since the second half of the year 2010, and this cross-border meeting is a good opportunity for its further improvement.

General Dikovic expressed his conviction that active international military cooperation with the armed forces of neighbouring countries, carried out by the Serbian Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces in accordance with the interests of the Republic of Serbia, contributes to the development of good neighbourly relations, creating an atmosphere of mutual trust and strengthening security in the region.
