Serbian Armed Forces helps residents of the Municipality of Sjenica



The Serbian Armed Forces engaged three engineering machines from the Second Army Brigade to clear the snow from roads in the Municipality of Sjenica. These machines cleaned yesterday about seven kilometres of road, and the struggle with the snowstorm that has hit Sjenica and Pester plateau continues today.

Members of the Second Army Brigade will clean today the snow from the road route Duga Poljana – Karajuki?a Bunari, in order to help residents of the Municipality of Sjenica as soon as possible.

Sjenica and Pester plateau were hit by the snowstorm that has been lasting for two days. In Sjenica, the height of snow cover is about 40 centimetres while in the Pester plateau a strong wind blows causing drifts up to five meters high. In Sjenica, the decision on the state of emergency is still in effect because of snowfall and bad weather.
