New Year's gala concert in Sava Centar
In the Great Hall of Sava Center, a New Year's gala opera concert organized by the Agency "Gala Concert" and sava centra was held last night.
The wonderful performance of beautiful opera arias and duets of the greatest artists of the opera - Verdi, Leoncavallo, Chile, Bizet and Puccini was attended by Defense Minister Dragan Sutanovac, the outgoing and newly appointed Chief of SAF, generals Miloje Miletic and Ljubisa Dikovic respectively, as well as representatives Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia, cultural life and numerous audience in the packed hall Sava Center.For the first time in Belgrade, two great world opera scene vocals performed together - Zeljko Lucic, the best baritone of the Verdi operas and Zoran Todorovic, one of the leading tenors of the European opera scene. They made their first professional steps in our country, and then achieved great success in the world. It was their desire to perform together since their concert together 13 years ago.
The guests were concert soprano Suzana Suvakovic Savic and mezzo-soprano Sanja Anastasia who gave four solo performances by the choir of Radio Television Serbia and the Art Ensemble of the Ministry of Defence "Stanislav Binicki", under the baton of Dejan Savic.Opera lovers who could not attend the concert will be able to enjoy a DVD recording in the RTS Music production and recording of the concert will be broadcast on digital channel RTS.
"The idea was to gather the most prominent artists at one place in one concert. I have been in this business for 30 years and I cannot remember the last time we had such stars. This is a great event that will enter the annals of our opera art, "said the conductor Dejan Savic at a press conference on the occasion of this event.
