149th issue of magazine ODBRANA brings
Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac attended the third Security Forum in Halifax in Canada participating in the debate “Across borders: the transnational illegal trafficking and crime” and held several meetings during which bilateral cooperation, situation in Serbia and the region as well as the process of European integrations were discussed.

In the period of the abolishment of the military service, a system of voluntary civil service, which according to initial indicators gives excellent results, has been established. All other elements of the military service system (introduction into military records, medical and other check-ups and psychological testing, recruitment, obligations as a reserve) continue to function in line with the law, since that is the only way of securing necessary human potential for the defence of the country.
What is the nature of conflict in the changed international conditions? Great powers, above all US, Russia and China, continually work on improvement of the existing and development and production of the new means of war technique, focusing on nuclear components of their armed forces, and on means and methods for leading information and cyber war.
Recently closed exhibition “Pavle Beljanski Collection: again in Belgrade" in the Military Club was visited by 11,000 people. Currently there is an exhibition from the Novi Sad Military Club’s Artistic Collection.
Renovated Military Club in Vranje has a central hall, officers’ club, multimedia hall, VIP-lounge, suite, reception room and offices. Central hall can accommodate 250 people and it will host theatre plays and movies, officer balls and similar cultural and entertainment events.
