Announcing a humanitarian concert with music from "Selo gori, a baba se ceslja"

The press conference on occasion of the upcoming great symphonic concert with the music from popular series "Selo gori, a baba se ceslja" was held today in the House of the Army. This charity concert organized by the Ministry of Defence and Contrast studios, aims at giving the proceeds from ticket sales to the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia to purchase the most modern microscope for histopathological analysis.

The conference, opened by the Head of Public Relations of the Ministry of Defence Colonel Petar Boskovic, was attended by the author of the series of Rados Bajic, composer Aleksandar Sanja Ilic, director of the Institute for Oncology and Radiology of Serbia, Prof. Zoran Rakocevic, pathologist Dr. Zorka Milovanovic and oncologist Dr. Suzana Vasovic who spoke at the conference.

- The reason for this conference today is a magnificent thing. It means drawing to an end a big project which started in October 2006 when the first take of the series "Selo gori, a baba se ceslja" was taken - Rados Bajic said at the conference. The story of this series will be rounded off with a great manifestation which is something the Contrast Studios and the Ministry of Defence have been working on for a long time.

- Rados Bajic came to the Minister of Defense Dragan Sutanovac and thanked him for the support to the whole series and this is when this idea of this concert and the whole spectacle first originated- as Colonel Petar Boskovic revelaed at the press conference, while the director of the Institute for Oncology and Radiology Zoran Rakocevic said it is wonderful that in these difficult times there is an increasing number of people, associations and organizations wanting to help the Institute of Oncology in Belgrade.

Original music by Sanja Ilic from "Selo gori, a baba se ceslja" will be premiered in a special orchestration, with the participation of the Art Ensemble "Stanislav Binicki" "Stankovic" choir and numerous vocal and instrumental soloists.

- I hope that the music will make life nicer for those who come 4th December in the Great Hall of Sava Center- Sanja Ilic said.
