Medical psychological screening center opened in Nis



In the military hospital a Center for medical and psychological selection of the personnel in the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia was opened today.

The opening of the Center was attended by Deputy Head of the Health Colonel John MaksiC from MOD, assistant director of the Military Hospital Nis Colonel Alexander Petkovic, representatives of the Human Resources, Department of Telecommunications and Informatics, Military Medical Academy and professors from the Department of Psychology Faculty of Philosophy in Belgrade.

"We installed new software and put into operation the center for medical and psychological selection - which will undoubtedly be a major improvement in the selection of personnel for the Ministry of Defense and the Army of Serbia, from admission to duty, to the performance of certain duties, as Colonel Maksic remarked.

Center for Medical-Psychological screening in the Military Hospital Nis will have a regional character and will cover the territory of southern Serbia. New equipment at the Centre, worth 35 thousand euros, equipped with 33 computers and 3 laptops, was purchased with the support of the Ministry of Defence of Denmark, while the software was provided by Mod Department of Health.

Department of Medical-Psychological screening in the Nis military hospital has existed for a year now, but, according to Chief Dr. Slobodan Cenic it was not until now that all conditions for a modern work in the field of selection have been created. The program involves psychologists trained and licensed by the Centre for Applied Psychology in Belgrade to apply cognitive and personality tests "Hedonika 5" for the purpose of psychological selection in the MoD and SAF.

A similar center has previously been opened in the Military Medical Academy. By the end of the year medical centers Karaburma and in Novi Sad will also be provided with a suitable screening equipment.
