Media center "Odbrana" at 56th book fair



The 56th International Belgrade Book Fair was officially opened tonight by our renowned writer Svetislav Basara the Portuguese language being the honorary guest of the fair, along one of the most important African writers Mija Koto, a writer from Mozambique. The fair, under the slogan "Books connect people" will feature 817 exhibitors from 30 countries.

"More than two hundred million people not only speak Portuguese language, but dreams and loves in that same language," said Mija Koto, in his homily about his language.

The writer is Svetislav Basara, opening the October holiday books, among other things, said - "What inspires me is the power of optimism with which books resist the onslaught of new technologies and its perseverance which helps it survive in a multitude of superficial pleasures."

Military publishing will once again been present at the Belgrade Book Fair. In the coming days of the fair, at the stand of the Media Center "Odbrana" the visitors will be able to see a book launch of the luxury monograph "Serbian Army" by Z. Vesic and D. Bapca, then the monograph "Scouts of the Yugoslav Air Force" by B. Dimitrijevic, "(Counter) espionage" by M. Milosevic, "Terrorism in the political and legal theory" R. Gacinovic , "The Serbian army in the wars for independence" D. Bapca, "Forcing the sand" by A. Zivotic, "In the shelter of the soul" by Momo Kapor excerpts from columns and interviews with him by Dragana Markovic, and many others.
