Meeting of the Joint Commission Serbia – USA
In the Strategic Planning Department of the Defense Policy Sector, the 4th meeting of the Joint Commission for Serbian-US defense reform issues was held. The meeting was chaired by the Commission Chairman Major General Bozidar Forca, while the three-member American delegation was led by Professor Thomas Young from the Center for Civilian-Military Relations Monterey (California).The meeting, which was also attended by the State Secretary Aleksandar Miscevic, was preceded by the session with the American delegation on 4th,October, 2011, during which realized forms of education of the members of MOD and SAF in 2011 were analyzed.
During the meeting, various forms of cooperation in 2012 were discussed with consideration of new forms necessary for the reform of the defense system.It is the conclusion of both sides that the cooperation concerning the defense system reform is developing successfully. In addition, conclusions for its future improvements were reached.
