Cooperation of Media Center Odbrana and Pavle Beljanski's memorial



Director of Media Center "Odbrana," Lt. Col. Slavoljub Markovic and director of the Memorial Collection of Pavle Beljanski, Jasna Jovanov today in Novi Sad signed a Cooperation Agreement.

The Cooperation between the two centers will start on 12th October when the Gallery in the SAF Central Military Club in Belgrade an exhibition "Collection of Pavle Beljanski: Back in Belgrade will be opened". Belgrade audience will have the chance to see 68 artworks by 32 authors, including such illustrious artists of the Serbian modern art as - Nadezda Petrovic, Petar Lubarda, Sava Sumanovic, Milan Konjovic, Nedeljko Gvozdenovic, Jovan Bijeli? and others.

Since in the words of Jasna Jovanov, the Belgrade audience has not had the opportunity to see the works from the collection since 1957, this exhibition organized by Media Center Odbrana and the Pavle Bjeljanski memorial will greatly surpass the importance of regular exhibitions.


A special section will be made suitable for visually impaired people, while other visitors can see a series of supporting events such as movies, expert interpretation of arts and children's workshops.

The Director of Media Center's "Odbrana," Lt. Col. Slavoljub Markovic said that the Central Military Club has had a long tradition of exhibiting a rich collection of over 1500 of the fine arts, this year alone, and in collaboration with galleries, museums and numerous bequests, it has organized several remarkable exhibition. He said cooperation between the two galleries will be continued on 20th October when the collection of Pavle Beljanski’s works will be presented to the audience in Novi Sad.
