An opportunity to expand cooperation
"The Conference of the Non-Aligned States held in Belgrade is a unique opportunity to talk with a number of delegations of participating countries, with which the Ministry of Defense is building a very good cooperation in the field of defense and are among the biggest buyers of our product defense industry", said the Minister of Defence Dragan Sutanovac, after meeting with foreign ministers of Iraq and Algeria, Mr. Zebary Hoshyar and Mr. Medelsy Murad respectively.He stressed that cooperation in defense with some countries participating at the 50th Ministerial Conference of Non-Aligned Movement, it is the pillar of intergovernmental cooperation, "especially singling out Iraq and Algeria, the countries we have built excellent relations in the previous four years. We want to continue this cooperation, to expand, in line with our opportunities. We believe that our products in the field of defense industry, and military education and health care can be very interesting for most of the participating countries of the Conference, "said Sutanovac.
During the meeting with Iraqui minister, Mr. Zebary Hoshyar, Minister Sutanovac expressed satisfaction with the fact that the previous agreements had been fulfilled, singling out the delivery of 20 training air crafts type "Lasta.” Minister Zebari conveyed the expectation that the future co-operation extended to the military and education, as well as cooperation in the field of training.
In an interview with the Algerian minister, Mr. Murad Medelsy, Sutanovac expressed his satisfaction that the capacity of military education of the Ministry of Defence of Serbia had been recognized as a highly professional aspect of our defense system offering top service and will again this year admit officer from Algeria who will be continuing their military education at MA and phD at the Military Academy in Belgrade. Minister Mondelsey expressed Algeria’s interest in promoting and intensifying bilateral military cooperation.The delegation of the Ministry of Defence in the next two days will also meet with more than ten delegations of participating countries in the Conference of the Non-Aligned States in Belgrade.
