Deputy CHOD visits Valjevo garrison
Deputy CHOD Major General Milan Bjelica visited the units of the Valjevo garrison yesterday. Major General Bjelica was accompanied by the Head of the HR Department of GS Brig. Gen. Dobrivoje Veljkovic and the Chief of the Logistics Department Brig. Gen. Danko Jovanovic.
In “Vojvoda Zivojin Misic” barracks, Colonel Dragoslav Sladakovic, commander of the 2nd training center reported on the current state of the units to General Bjelica, and the following commanders subimitteda report: commander of 24th division of self propelled rocket launchers, captain Ivica Ivanovic of 22nd infantry battalion and warrant officer Zoran veselinovic of the Signaling Brigade. The reporting was attended by the commander of the Training Command LTGEN Aleksandar Zivkovic and the commander of the 2nd army brigade Brig. Gen. Dusan Stojanovic, while the representatives of the MoD and Military Security Agency reported on their tasks and missions.
The Valjevo garrison is a promising unit, and we will shrive to invest in and develop it.
During his visit Gen Bjelica attended the training at 24th division of self propelled rocket launchers “Preparing for shooting”, at an especially designed ground for shooting in the barracks ”Vojvoda Zivojin Misic“, following which he talked with professional soldiers engaged in the unit.
General Bjelica toured the facilities in the barracks and detached facilities Belo Polje and Rajac on which occasion he inspected the accommodation objects of the Valjevo garrison. In the coming period, the second generation of volunteer soldiers will be trained here as well as MA cadets.
