"ODBRANA" Magazine in its 140th issue of 15 July
At the ceremony marking the Day of the Second Brigade - 12 July, Commander, Brigadier General Dusan Stojanovic, pointed out that the members of the unit, with all the tasks performed, provided assistance to the citizens of Kraljevo, Novi Pazar, Sjenica and Ljubovija in eliminating the consequences of earthquakes and floods.
In his interview to ODBRANA, Lieutenant General Peter Radojcic, Director of the Defense Inspectorate, expresses his confidence that the state and military leadership needs to know the real situation, and to be warned about the flaws, failures and irregularities, so that they can take decisions whose implementation would eliminate the causes of harmful effects on the preparations for defence, operational and functional capabilities of the Armed Forces, material and financial operations or the available human and material resources.
The theme of this issue is the training program contents for General Staff development of the Serbian Armed Forces officers. The aim of an interdisciplinary approach in the rich range of topics aims at expanding their body of knowledge and to help them resolve future strategic and operational problems. This approach requires not only military professional knowledge but also wider knowledge of the current military, political, and economic issues as well as the issues of the international relations.
Aeronautical Institute "Moma Stanojlovic", with 95-year-old tradition and experienced staff, despite many difficulties, is the reliable Air Force mainstay in terms of general overhaul of aircraft, aircraft engines, aviation equipment and air defence assets. Director of the Institute, Colonel Despot Jankovic, on the occasion of 1st July, the Day of this institution, said that the problems evident, that their solution depends on the financial means and that "Moma" is ahead of a little bit longer period of revitalization.

It has been seventy years since the Smederevo tragedy. On Thursday, 5 June 1941, at 14:14 p.m., due to a huge explosion of ordnance stored in Smederevo fortress, about 1,150 people were killed. To what extent the city was demolished is given in the state commission report of 11 December 1945 which says: "Explosion of 5th June 1941, destroyed the town creating havoc ... Out of 2 393 buildings, as it was the number in the construction area of Smederevo, only 25 buildings remained undamaged, while 445 buildings were destroyed or so damaged that they had to be immediately demolished. "
From sports – Members of the Ministry of Defence and the Serbian Armed Forces ended preparations for the 5th World Military Games that are to be held in Brazil from 16 to 24 July.
The new venture was recorded by Goran Todorovic Faca. A former member of the 63rd Paratroop Brigade, assisted by members of Mountain Rescue Service of Serbia climbed Triglav.
